The Story of Compliment Club

Compliment Club began with a group of friends in a New Classroom Building study room! They decided to post a message on the screen for students passing by to see:

"Come inside for a free compliment ;)" 

​

The group of friends were amazed at how many people visited! People even came back to say how the compliments made their day.

The group of friends knew they had tapped into something special and decided to regularly hand out compliments in NCB! By the end of that semester, it was decided that the friends would form an official Compliment Club.

Our goal is to inspire collaboration and encourage positivity among Hokies through small acts of kindness. We hope to uplift each other and those around us while getting out of our own comfort zones, meeting new people, and making lasting connections. We are always excited for new members to join us as we do things like pass out treats during finals week, hold free compliment sessions on campus, or host encouraging events like club game nights.
